Company Profile
Woodland is the flagship brand of Aero Group. Aero Group was established in the 1950s as a footwear company in Quebec, Canada. It started operations by manufacturing winter boots and exporting high-quality leather shoes to the then Soviet Union. The company soon established itself as a premium brand of footwear for harsh conditions.
Aero Group launched Woodland brand in the 1980s. Woodland focused on rugged outdoor footwear for adventure enthusiasts. In the year 1992, Woodland entered India, following the dissolution of Soviet Union which disrupted its primary export market. The brand introduced its first hand-stitched leather shoes in India, which rapidly gained traction in the Indian market. By the 2000s, Woodland had expanded its product portfolio beyond footwear to active wear and accessories.
Woodland has a worldwide network comprising of over 500 exclusive stores and more than 4800 multi-brand retail outlets. India is the brand’s core market, accounting for around 80% of its revenues. Woodland operates manufacturing facilities in multiple countries, including India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, China, Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia.
