OnePlus was founded in December 2013 by Pete Lau and Carl Pei as a subsidiary of the Chinese consumer electronics giant, BBK Electronics. The reason behind founding OnePlus was to create a brand that delivered high-end smartphone specifications at lower prices. Debut smartphone of the brand was OnePlus One, launched in April 2024.
