Company Profile

Havells was founded in the year 1958 by Haveli Ram Gandhi. It started as a manufacturer of electrical switchgears. In the year 1971, Qimat Rai Gupta acquired the company. Subsequently, Havells entered other segments like cables, lighting, appliances, fans and geysers. In the year 1983, Havells acquired Towers and Transformers Limited, followed by other companies like Duke Arnics Electronics, ECS and Crabtree India in the 1997-2001 period. Havells acquired the Lloyd brand and European Sylvania brand in the year 2006.

Havells operates 15 state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities across many locations in India, including Alwar, Neemrana, Baddi, Haridwar, Sri City, Tumkuru, Faridabad, Noida and Bangalore. Its products are sold through a network of over 1000 exclusive brand stores and distributors, alongside more than 20,000 trade partners.

Havells has its origins in India and is a completely Indian company. However, its operations are not limited to India, with a global network spanning over 50 countries worldwide. The company primarily exports its products to markets in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
